Drury Lane Theatre.
THERE was a Selection of Music performed at this Theatre on Saturday night, being Whitsun-Eve. We understand it was well attended, and that the whole gave great satisfaction.
The Morning Post (May 23, 1825): 1.
DRURY-LANE THEATRE.
There was a most delectable Musical treat at this Theatre on Saturday evening. The selections were all made with great taste, and that the execution was admirable, will readily be believed, when it is mentioned that the performers were Mr. BRAHAM, and Mr. BELLAMY, Madame PASTA, Madame CARADORI, Miss STEPHENS, Miss GRADDON, Miss LOVE, Miss COOK, and a most promising debutante.—The latter, a modest and highly interesting young Lady, sung the beautiful Irish Ballad of Kathleen la Moor, with such sweetness, taste, and science, as to leave no doubt of her becoming a considerable acquisition to the vocal corps. She was unanimously encored, and her happy exertions were each time crowned with the warmest and most merited applause.
